Powder Classification Sieve for Accurate Grading
A powder classification sieve, or grading screener, splits one bulk material into two or more well-defined particle size fractions. Each fraction can then go to a different product, customer specification or process step. Tight size control means fewer off-spec batches, better flow and dosing downstream, and more saleable product from the same raw material.
With up to four screening decks, our classifiers deliver continuous, accurate separation at high throughput. Typical applications include sizing sand, calcium carbonate and minerals, grading fertilizer and feed, classifying cocoa, sugar and breadcrumbs, separating metal powders for additive manufacturing, and sorting ground plastics and e-waste in recycling.
Powder Classification Sieve - Models
Classification sieves come in multi-deck vibratory, tumbler and multifrequency versions for different capacities and materials. From fine powders to high-volume bulk solids and difficult products, each model provides accurate multi-fraction grading.
Multi-deck Powder Classification Screener
The multi-deck vibratory classifier has up to four screening decks for accurate multi-fraction separation at moderate capacity. Its compact design and interchangeable meshes make it a flexible choice up to about 11 short tons/h (10 t/h), depending on the material.
- Up to four screening decks
- Capacity up to approx. 11 short tons/h*
- Good fit for flexible, multi-product plants
Tumbler Powder Classification Sieve
The tumbler classification sieve provides accurate multi-fraction grading with up to four decks and a very large screening area. It suits high-volume bulk materials at up to about 55 short tons/h (50 t/h) while keeping classification precise.
- Up to four screening decks
- Capacity up to approx. 55 short tons/h*
- Gentle motion for high-volume grading
Multifrequency Powder Classification Sieve
The multifrequency classifier is designed for cohesive, fatty or hygroscopic powders. It separates accurately while minimizing mesh blinding, with up to two decks and capacities up to about 5.5 short tons/h (5 t/h), depending on the material.
- Challenging, sticky or fine powders
- Up to two screening decks
- Capacity up to approx. 5.5 short tons/h*

Frequently Asked Questions
A powder classification sieve is a vibratory screening machine that separates powders into two or more particle size fractions for consistent, on-spec products.
Stacked mesh screens and controlled vibration separate particles by size. Coarse particles stay on the upper decks and finer particles pass to the lower decks, giving several graded fractions.
A safety sieve removes contaminants and oversize before processing. A classification sieve divides the product into specific size ranges to meet product specifications.

Yes. Multi-deck machines produce two, three or more fractions in one continuous pass.
It depends on the target particle size distribution, product behavior and throughput. Material testing confirms the best screen setup.
Yes. Multifrequency vibration and automatic mesh cleaning handle fine, cohesive or difficult powders and limit blinding.
Better consistency, higher efficiency, tighter size control, less waste and more reliable downstream processing.
Consider powder characteristics, target size distribution, throughput, number of fractions, hygiene, space and integration. We recommend product testing.
