Automatic Bag Emptying Machine

An automatic bag emptying machine (automatic bag slitter or sack opener) unloads a full pallet of bags with no manual lifting. A forklift places the pallet in the machine. A gripper trolley picks up a layer of bags, carries it over rotating stainless steel cutting discs, and shakes the cut bags until up to 99.9% of the product has dropped into the hopper.

The machine is PLC-controlled with a 7-inch touchscreen. It uses a heavy-duty gear motor, optical and inductive sensors, perimeter safety guarding and an emergency stop. The trolley uses eight hook shafts to grip each bag, and pneumatic automation runs the full cycle.

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - Models

Our automatic bag emptying machines open and empty bags fully automatically, with capacities of about 6.6, 13 and 20 short tons/h (6, 12 and 18 t/h). Each delivers high discharge efficiency, minimal product loss and little operator involvement.

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 6.6 Tons/h

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 6.6 Tons/h

The 6.6 short tons/h (6 t/h) model automatically handles, opens and empties 55 lb (25 kg) bags with up to 99.9% discharge efficiency. PLC control with a 7-inch touchscreen keeps operator involvement to a minimum.

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 13 Tons/h

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 13 Tons/h

The 13 short tons/h (12 t/h) model opens and empties 55 lb (25 kg) bags directly from pallets, with up to 99.9% discharge efficiency. The PLC automates bag handling, cutting, emptying and empty-pallet removal.

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 20 Tons/h

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - 20 Tons/h

The 20 short tons/h (18 t/h) model is built for high-capacity lines, handling, opening and emptying 55 lb (25 kg) bags at high speed with up to 99.9% discharge efficiency and minimal operator involvement.

Automatic Bag Emptying Machine - Benefits

Fully Automatic Bag Emptying Machine

Designed to speed up discharge without skilled operators, the fully automatic machine empties a pallet of 55 bags in about seven minutes in one uninterrupted cycle. The empty pallet is then removed by forklift. Labor and raw material loss are minimal.

Fully Automatic Bag Emptying Machine

Semi-Automatic Bag Emptying Machine

For lower volumes, the semi-automatic version keeps the cutting, emptying and empty-bag handling automatic, while bags are loaded by an operator.

Depalletizer With Automatic Bag Emptying

A guarded pallet enclosure with an interlocked gate holds the load. A vertical plate with pneumatic-mechanical hooks lifts one layer of bags at a time and slides it over the knives and hopper. Rotating blades of hardened steel cut the bags. A vibrating grid shakes them empty, and a mechanical ejector pushes the empty bags out the rear, to an optional bag compactor.

Integration

The hopper outlet can feed a screw conveyor, a rotary valve into a pneumatic conveying system, or a vacuum conveyor to silos. For small volumes, a manual bag dump station may be enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is an automated system that empties bags without manual handling. It picks bags from the pallet, opens them, discharges the product and transfers it to a silo, conveyor, feeder or process.

A pallet is loaded into the machine. A gripper lifts bags to the cutting unit, where they are slit, emptied and shaken to recover remaining product. Empty bags are ejected, and the product is conveyed to storage or processing.

It handles powders, granules, pellets, chemicals, minerals, food ingredients, agricultural products and plastics. The design is adapted to bulk density, particle size, flowability and dust behavior.

Paper, plastic, woven polypropylene and laminated bags can be handled. Bag size and weight, typically 50–55 lb (25 kg), are set to your requirements.

Capacity depends on bag size, product and process. Standard models cover about 6.6 to 20 short tons/h, and systems can be engineered for continuous unloading of several pallets per hour.

Yes. It integrates with screw conveyors, pneumatic and vacuum conveyors, bucket elevators, vibratory feeders, silos, dosing and weighing systems and sieves for a fully automatic line.

Compared with manual dumping, it removes heavy lifting, raises capacity, improves hygiene and gives a consistent discharge for industrial production.
