High-Pressure Valve
Bulk Solids Handling Under Pressure and Vacuum
Feeding powder into a pressurized reactor, gasifier or conveying line, or out of a vacuum dryer, requires a valve that keeps product moving while holding the pressure difference. TiERMAX high-pressure valves are built for exactly that: reliable feeding, discharge, metering and isolation of bulk solids in pressurized and vacuum systems.
Two families are available. High-pressure rotary valves provide continuous transfer between pressure zones, and pressure/vacuum isolation valves provide tight shut-off between process sections. Each design is configured for operating pressure, temperature, material characteristics, capacity and process conditions. For standard airlock duty, see our rotary valve. For hot solids, see the high-temperature valve.

High-Pressure Rotary Valve
The high-pressure rotary valve doses, feeds and discharges bulk solids in pressurized or vacuum systems. A heavy-duty housing with an application-specific rotor and seal arrangement lets material pass continuously while limiting gas and air leakage between zones. Options include wear-resistant parts, minimal-clearance rotors, heating or cooling, leakage-air venting and pressure-shock-resistant construction. Designs cover operating pressures from about 0.6 psia (40 mbar absolute) up to about 435 psi (30 bar), with size and capacity depending on the design.

High-Pressure Isolation Valve
Isolation valves provide secure shut-off between sections under pressure or vacuum. Specialized seal systems give tight closure while handling powders and granules that would damage ordinary valves. Pressure ratings, flange standards such as ASME/ANSI, and actuators are selected for each U.S. project.
