Vibrating Sieve Loading and Unloading System

Pouring heavy containers of fine metal powder into a sieve by hand is slow, dusty and risky. A vibrating sieve loading and unloading system automates it. Powder is conveyed pneumatically from the 3D printer, depowdering station or collection container straight into the sieve inlet. The sieve removes oversize particles and agglomerates, and the screened powder discharges into a sealed container or back toward the printer for the next build.

Because transfer and screening happen in a closed system, operators lift and pour less, airborne dust is reduced, and high-value powder is not lost or contaminated. The system is configured for titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloy, cobalt-chrome and tool steel powders.

Vibrating Sieve Loading and Unloading System - Benefits

Automated Metal Powder Handling

AM metal powders need careful handling to protect powder quality and keep the workspace clean. Manual loading and unloading creates airborne dust, increases operator exposure and leads to powder loss. TiERMAX combines conveying, screening, collection and discharge into one compact system.

How the System Works

Powder collected after a build is drawn by vacuum into a receiver above the sieve. The receiver feeds the vibrating screen at a controlled rate. Oversize and agglomerates are discharged to a reject container, while good powder flows into a sealed collection container or a transfer line back to the printer. Ultrasonic mesh cleaning keeps fine screens open, and inert gas operation can be added for reactive alloys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Powder is conveyed pneumatically to the vibrating sieve, which separates oversize and agglomerates, and the screened powder is collected for reuse or further processing.

Yes. Pneumatic transfer moves powder directly from the source to the sieve, eliminating most lifting and pouring.

Yes. Acceptable powder can be collected and returned to production when your powder quality procedures allow.

Enclosed conveying and screening reduce powder dispersion, spills and operator exposure to fine particles.

Yes. Ultrasonic mesh cleaning improves separation of very fine powders and reduces blinding.

Yes. Sieve, mesh, conveying, hopper, contact materials and controls are selected for your powder, capacity and process.
