Bulk Bag Filling System
Bulk bags, also called FIBCs, super sacks or tote bags, are one of the most economical ways to ship and store powders and granules. A TiERMAX bulk bag filling system fills them accurately, safely and with minimal dust, from a simple manual station to a fully automatic line that runs with almost no operator involvement.
Each filler is configured around your product, target fill weight, bags per hour and level of automation. Options include gross or net weighing, adjustable frame height and width, an inflatable spout seal, bag-tensioning cylinders, automatic loop release, a rotating fill head, bag pre-forming, densifying vibration tables, roller conveyors, pallet dispensers, automatic spout closing and mobile frames. It integrates with the rest of your filling and bagging line, controls included.

A clean, accurate fill for every material
Fine powders, dense minerals and free-flowing pellets all fill differently. TiERMAX adapts the fill head, densification and weighing method to the product so each bag reaches its target weight, stands upright for safe stacking and leaves the station without a dust cloud. Ergonomic access, adjustable heights and automatic loop release reduce strain on operators.
The automatic version combines feeding, net-weigh filling and bag conveying in one system. Material is pre-weighed in a hopper, then discharged into the bag at high speed, so capacity stays high and accuracy stays tight during continuous operation.

Fully automatic bulk bag filling with robotic loop handling
For four-loop bags, a gripper system picks up the loops and a robot hands the bag to the filling station. Spout docking, dust-tight filling and spout closing are automated, so the operator only replenishes empty bags and removes full pallets.
Complete filling and palletizing lines are planned to suit your product, building and production targets. TiERMAX supplies the mechanical system, controls and programming, and supports installation, commissioning and operator training at your U.S. site.

Automatic filling sequence
1. The loop gripper picks up the empty bag.
2. The robot transfers it to the filling station.
3. The loops are taken over by the fill head hooks.
4. The fill head lowers and the spout is sealed.
5. The bag is filled, densified and weighed.
6. The spout is withdrawn and closed automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions
A bulk bag filling system is an industrial machine that fills flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs), also known as bulk bags or super sacks, with powders, granules and other bulk solids. It controls feeding, weighing and filling to improve accuracy, throughput and operator safety.
The empty bag is hung on the frame and the spout is sealed to the fill head. Material flows from a hopper or conveyor into the bag while load cells track the weight until the target is reached. The bag is then released and moved away.
Chemical powders, food ingredients, pharmaceutical products, minerals, fertilizers, plastic resin, seed, grain and many other dry materials. The fill head, densification and dust control are configured for each product's density, particle size and flow behavior.
Accurate, high-capacity filling with less manual labor, lower dust emissions and less operator exposure. It also connects easily with conveyors, silos and palletizing equipment.
Gross weighing fills the bag directly on load cells. Net weighing pre-weighs material in a hopper before discharge, which is faster and more accurate. The right method depends on accuracy, capacity and the material.
Yes. Inflatable spout seals, enclosed fill heads and dust-extraction connections keep fine powders inside the bag and out of the plant.
Consider the material, target capacity, bag size, fill accuracy, dust control, automation level and any hazardous-location requirements. A filler engineered for these factors delivers reliable, productive operation.
